The AW-525 can accommodate up to 12-gauge wire in order to preserve maximum sound quality (The use of at least 16-gauge or heavier stranded copper wire is recommended.). The speaker measures 9.5 x 15 x 11 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 9 pounds.

"Fantastic Sound - Well Worth the Money for Larger Outdoor Spaces" 2009-06-16
By R. Wald (Raleigh, NC)
I have a one acre lot with a large backyard and wanted to find the right speakers for a larger outdoor space. I researched and listened to a number of outdoor speakers, including other brands and lesser Klipsch models such as the AW 400.

Considering Klipsch speakers are designed for larger spaces to begin with given their horn powered tweeter, I narrowed my choices to the AW 400 and 525 models. Although they are more expensive, I went with the 525s and after having them now for over a year I am glad I spent the extra money. They produce awesome sound and definitely fill my backyard space very nicely.
