    Product Description

Today's highest performance audio systems demand equally high performance speaker systems that can deliver accurate, realistic sound. When considering in-wall speakers, you should not have a bad reputation for being "just for background music." Other companies often perpetuate this negative preconceived notion by manufacturing even their highest performance in-wall speakers with lower-end technology and inexpensive parts. Finding the right, audiophile quality, in-wall speakers that can provide natural music reproduction as a primary listening source and blend easily into their surrounding environment is often an audiophile nightmare.Monster Sound InvisiSound Speakers were designed to end this nightmare. They deliver accurate music reproduction to all parts of your home, serving as excellent primary listening speakers or background ambient speakers. InvisiSound 40 in-wall speakers were designed to be simple to install. They're perfectly suited for installation in new home construction, and are simple enough for the do-it yourselfer to install in existing walls. And the 1/2" Neodymium tweeter with INVAREX diaphragm increases dynamic range.

Sadly circumstances have forced the use of in-walls. I've been using floorstanders in my 7.1 system for the last 18 months, but they are taking up too much space in the living room.

I bought these unheard and with low expectations - I mean look at the price. I figured if they sucked I'd put them on Ebay and go spend some money on 'real' inwalls (I'd have the holes cut already and the wiring run, so justifying the cost gets easier).

On installing them (it's a breeze) I was pleasantly surprised - no, actually I was astonished. They are obviously not as good as a set of good quality floorstanding speakers, being brighter, less detailed and with somewhat less bass than the Tannoy fronts they replaced (the box has them going down to 45Hz). They are installed in a 4400cu ft room and for home cinema use with proper amplification and a decent sub they are quite adequate in this space - unless you want insane SPLs (and if you do you aren't looking for in-walls). I'm using a VMPS large sub, which doubles as an end table and is total overkill with these speakers. Their lack of bass is the least of my problems...

I've now bought 2 more pairs for use as and rears, plus a set of the circular in-ceiling ones for the 2 extra surround channels. They will be replacing the rest of the floorstanders and the money I saved by not buying brand name inwalls is going towards another new gadget. (Now I want a projector for the basement...)
